Description
Bring the house temperature down even colder than normal so I don't have to bring the fans out to keep me extra, extra cool so I don't break the slightest molecule of sweat when I move the behemoths around and lint roll and wash and lint roll the sheets again and move the tables to vacuum under them. Shower clean with fresh clothes. Make sure I don't touch anything before I touch the huge plushies to move them. Make sure I use the towels from the "Intel dust-free room" clean pile for the many times I will end up washing my hands. Use fresh lint roll sheets when moving on to the next pony.

Change the filter for the central air conditioning twice a month and still the dust slowly makes it's presence known. Go to turn on light in other room to search for something while dusting the ponies. Did I bleach wipe that light switch and door knob? Fuck I have to wash my hands! Stop again as there was a message from a plushie artist about a commission for yet another life size. Fuck! I have to wash my hands AGAIN after using that computer before resuming cleaning. Done with half the Agatrix fleet and have to dry laundry so I can get the first batch of sheets washing. Forgot to turn on the AC window unit I installed specifically in the laundry room so I would not break a sweat while doing laundry so I could reduce the amount of showers. FUCK! I'll have to get another shower before lint rolling the rest of them and probably yet another shower before sleeping with one of them with fresh clothes.

And I thought I was bad this is excessive cleaning. The hardest thing with soft toys is ensuring no dirt or lingering odours incorporate the fabric. I understand your pain but personally have come to realise no matter what you do you're aren't going to be 100% perfect, so just do what you can! For me it's leaving the window open no matter what to ensure air circulation, no getting into bed without shower or bath first and ensuring pyjamas are clean, even slight smell means fresh ones, no direct contact with plushies unless clean clothes on and always sleep with the plushie on top of duvet to avoid any odour transfer from sweat etc, constantly washing hands with soap and minimise any food in bed, change said bed at least every week and wash any blankets etc. as well, no matter how hard it is gettiing! If something does go bad, I have used some antibacterial wipes to gently wipe a plushie and it seems to have had no negative impact on it and using said wipes on laptop keyboard as well. I will definitely have to get some lint rollers though and as for is it worth it, I agree with you, yes, yes it is.
