STARLIGHT GLIMMER life size by Neysanight

Here she is.  (pics are taken at night and are low light level bad, has far better pics:  )  I also need to groom her minky coat again for better pics.

I have my most beloved pony in life size form.  As a latecomer to the show, I watched the first 4 seasons after they had aired and really enjoyed MLP.  The first episode I ever saw as it aired of MLP was the Season 5 Premier and when I first saw Starlight and heard her beautiful voice, I truly realized what a wonderful series this is and became a balls to the wall hard core fan of the show.  Starlight Glimmer really stood out for me with her voice, big hair style mane and beautiful colors and really bad temper.  But I could not have just anyone make a life size plushie of her.  I wanted her to be as beautiful as she is in the show, so I lurked while collecting other plushies.  Someone who really enjoys the show and enjoys plushies and a challenge should be the one to make my beloved pone.

I don't remember how I stumbled onto Neysanight's DA page.  I did watch her immediately and I poured over all of her WIP's new and old.  I encourage anyone reading this to read every single one of her WIP's as they are very informative and document how she figures out creating these beautiful creatures.  The first pony I was able to see her start was her beautiful Applejack.  When I saw her completed Applejack, I knew this was the artist I wanted to make Starlight.  

I saw her commissions were closed indefinitely, so I waited while she knocked out more beaufitul pony commissions.  I had doubts that I could ever get on her list but I still watched her other lovely pones being made and fully enjoyed the WIP's she posted. 

The next pony that really stood out for me that she made is her Princess Celestia.  
Alot of work went into making this gorgeous Celestia and her WIP's are my favorite of all the ponies she made.  I got so much out of just her Celestia WIP's that seeing her completed was made even better.  I showed her off to a lot of people.

I had already contacted Neysanight about a possible commission for Starlight Glimmer.  I knew her mane and tail would be really difficult and probably a nightmare to get right, her correct coat color would not even be mentioned until much later-for no shade of minky is made in Starlight's correct color.  It was after completing Celestia that Neysanight revealed to me that she would take my Starlight Glimmer comission.

Fast foward several months and the matter of Starlight's coat color comes up.  Neysanight suggests trying poly dye to get Starlight's correct show accurate color.  I agreed and after several exhaustive tests in dyeing and observing if the dye would leech off the minky fibers onto bed sheets we found the dyeing of the minky to be successful.  Neysanight was a joy to work with.  I feel that she went above and beyond in making Starlight for me.  She knew what I wanted and she put an untold amount of hours into making Starlight.  There was always prompt communication and very informative suggestions and ideas and options.  Her Starlight she made for me is so beautiful and well built.  She makes each and every pony with precise pinning and stitcing and each finished pony is very durable and made to be a lasting sleeping companion.  The minky fabric is backed with quilter's cotton to give a thicker skin and the pony is stuffed with cluster-fil.  Starlight's mane is sewn on with three passes of stitching.  Her hooves are detail indented with just the right amount of hardness.  Her eyes and cutie marks are perfectly centered and symmetrical and both cutie marks are visible from behind.  Neysanight really put her all into this pony but I think she does that with all her commissions.  Starlight was shipped very well and was packed very securely in her box fully encased in plastic and bubble wrap boxed in two layers of cardboard.

I would love to get another pony from Neysanight and I can really see why she has repeat customers.
